We are now looking for a CLOUD SPECIALIST

to strengthen our SysOps team, based in Kallio/Helsinki.

The team currently consists of two Cloud Specialists and Head of Engineering. You will also work closely with our Support, Short Cycle and R&D teams. Hopefully we get you onboard soon to enlighten our workday!

JOB DUTIES:

  • SOC – working directly with client issues and resolving them
  • Being in contact with clients to understand their needs (together with 1st line)
  • Handling escalated client issues from 1st and 2nd level support engineers
  • Managing ticket flow from multiple sources
  • Ability to work on multiple parallel issues and under pressure in problematic settings
  • Working time 9-17 (Finnish time)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Good Linux sysadmin skills
  • Technical troubleshooting with offsite locations
  • Good communication skills, especially written (English)
  • Understanding of networks and troubleshooting of networks
  • Fluent English, especially written

OPTIONAL:

Participating in 24/7 on-call schedule as first line of defense outside usual office hours (One week per month), depending on your experience either right away or after gained some experience in this role.

DO YOU RECOGNIZE YOURSELF?

We hope you have some experience of similar roles maintaining Linux environments. Our technology stack is wide so the more you know of the following the better, and the rest you can learn: Centos 7, Haproxy, Asterisk, Apache, Route53, S3, Postfix, Logstash, MySQL, Galera, DRBD.

We hope you have knowledge and interest in DevOps and automation; currently we use Ansible. Working experience in 24/7 SOC duties is also something we appreciate.

We use Google, AWS, Azure, Nebula, Cloud, Upcloud and CloudFlare as our service providers. Experience from these is seen as a plus. In the near future we are also using more Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes and Mesosphere) so experience in these is seen as an advantage.
